MAKES TWO 9” CRISPS WITH PEACHES, APPLES, CHERRIES OR OTHER FRUIT
DIRECTIONS FOR ONE 9” CRISP: Preheat oven to 375ºF.
TO PREPARE FRUIT: Using Fresh or Frozen Fruits (Thawed): Peel and slice about 5 ripe peaches (about 4 cups of your favorite fruit). Sweeten to taste with about 1/4 cup sugar (depending on the tartness of your fruit) and mix in 2 tablespoons of flour. Using Canned Fruit in Syrup: Strain off syrup from 4 cups fruit and mix in 2 tablespoons of flour. Using Canned Pie Filling: Use 4 cups of filling directly from the can.
TO PREPARE TOPPING: Mix 1/2 stick (4 tablespoons) melted butter or margarine with 1-1/4 cups Peach Crisp Mix.
TO ASSEMBLE CRISP: Butter 9” pie dish and spread fruit mixture in the bottom. Sprinkle topping over fruit. Bake for about 30 minutes.
INGREDIENTS: Brown Sugar, Rolled Oats, Enriched Wheat Flour (Wheat Flour, Niacin, Reduced Iron, Thiamine Mononitrate, Riboflavin, Folic Acid), Stoneground Whole Wheat Flour, Cinnamon and Sea Salt.
